The new Sony PSP Go, which will ship this fall. Will come equipped with 16GB of internal flash storage, Bluetooth, and a memory card slot. It will be officially announced next week. More info and pictures over at Gizmodo.

Google Chrome 1.0

Google will soon release version 1.0 of their Chrome web browser. Unfortunately there isn’t much different between version 1.0 and the beta version. I still think that it’s a great web browser, with a lot of potential. Google will eventually release Chrome for Mac and Linux. Until then it is only available for Windows XP and Vista. TrueCrypt

TrueCrypt 6.0a

TrueCrypt is one of the best software encryption applications available (that we can get our hands on). So I decided to write a little about it, and why I believe that it is. TrueCrypt is free and open source software, used for transparent On-the-fly encryption. With it one can create a virtual encrypted disk within a file, or a device-hosted encrypted volume. In case you need it, TrueCrypt also provides two levels of plausible deniability, for when someone forces you to reveal your password. It has many other features, with more planned for future versions. It works on Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, and even Linux. So if you ever need to encrypt something, TrueCrypt is a good solution. GIMP 2.6.0

GIMP 2.6.0 was released just a few days ago, as some of you may already know. The GNU Image Manipulation Program, aka GIMP is a free open source alternative to Photoshop. New features include a major overhaul to the program’s user interface. Here are the complete Release Notes at gimp.org

Nintendo DSi

Nintendo announced durring their Fall Press Conference today, their new Nintendo DS version. The Nintendo DSi. Some of it’s new features include a .3 megapixel camera and a larger screen. Compaired to the DS lite, the screen is 17% larger. They removed the GBA slot, and added a SD card slot. The Nintendo DSi will be released in Japan on November 1, and will be available in black or white. It will cost USD$180 More info can be found here.

New Nintendo Wii by 2011?

Nintendo may release a new game console sometime in 2011. According to What They Play the new console will have, “a greater emphasis on digitally distributed and backwardly compatible content” which would indicate some kind of local storage, maybe a large hard drive. High definition visuals are also likely.

I am quite excited about the new Google Chrome browser. Which I am sure many of you have already heard of. It is currently available for Windows, and still in beta. Although a Mac and Linux version will be released soon. More info can be found at Google Chrome for those who want it.
