TrueCrypt 6.0a
TrueCrypt is one of the best software encryption applications available (that we can get our hands on). So I decided to write a little about it, and why I believe that it is. TrueCrypt is free and open source software, used for transparent On-the-fly encryption. With it one can create a virtual encrypted disk within a file, or a device-hosted encrypted volume. In case you need it, TrueCrypt also provides two levels of plausible deniability, for when someone forces you to reveal your password. It has many other features, with more planned for future versions. It works on Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, and even Linux. So if you ever need to encrypt something, TrueCrypt is a good solution.
